New India" as imagined by our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi needed a process of Imagineering of the education system which may respond to the fast-changing society and dynamic world. He inspired the ministry to make a transformational education policy that may change the intent and content of the Indian education system. He envisioned an education policy that may make our future generation ‘job creators’ instead of job seekers.’ Inspired by his vision the new education policy NEP -2020 was created “which bears the reflection of the aspirations of over 130 crore people. The National Education Policy of India, 2020 has emphasized on developing humanitarian values and has clearly stated that education is not merely about the knowledge and information gained from teachers and books. It is about developing those values, capabilities, and behavior that instills qualities of peace, justice, and inclusivity to create a stable society; and to unite, inspire, and prepare a world community for the welfare of all. The making of such policy involved huge efforts by our intellectuals, administrators, educational policy experts, political leaders, and social-cultural activists of the country. In fact, creating NEP-2020 was the world's largest open innovative exercise where lakhs of stakeholders were consulted.
