Her second marriage was to Tadeusz de Virion, the love of her life. He was a Polish aristocrat who took part in the Warsaw Uprising when he was just 17. His mother gave him some arsenic in a silk handkerchief; he was to swallow it if he fell into enemy hands. He later studied law at a secret university in Krakow and eventually became Poland's best penal lawyer. He saved many lives and fought for Solidarity, in opposition to the Communist rule. He was the first ambassador of free Poland, serving at the Court of St. James in London. Tadeusz was a Knight of Malta and received his highest medal for his work for the poor and the downtrodden.

Jayanti loves India and Poland equally. She holds on OCI Indian passport and a valid Polish passport. She has always been grateful to these two brave countries and Poland thanked her when she and Tadeusz returned from London. After the death of her husband, she divides her time between Warsaw and New Delhi. She lives with her sister Monisha and their pug Sundari in New Delhi. She is a doting grandmother to two wonderful grand children. As Jayanti says, "I am not rich. I am happy this way."

Jayanti is a Tibetan Buddhist who loves and reveres His Holiness the Dalai Lama more than anyone in this world. She does Tonglen, a Tibetan Buddhist practice, for mice and other less fortunate creatures, such as moles, who are blind. Tonglen, in short, is exchanging oneself for others. It involves taking their fright and pain, and giving from within all the calm and joy she possesses. It is a prayer and it works. Blessing come from within.
