Includes facsimile reproduction of the correspondence of Sarat Chandra Bose, 1889-1950.

The book "Sarat Chandra Bose: Remembering My Father" by Sisir Kumar Bose is re-published to pay tribute to Sarat Chandra Bose (1889-1950) on his 125th birth anniversary by the Netaji Research Bureau, Kolkata and Niyogi Books, Delhi. In the Foreword of this book, former President of India R. Venkataraman introduces Sarat as: "Ten years older than his dynamic brother Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Saratbabu was a person of equanimity, deep convictions and noble values. Capable of unremitting hard work, whether as a shining light of the Calcutta Bar or as a public figure, he represented the best of Bengal’s intellect, urbanity and national spiritedness." This book contains Preface by distinguished academician Sugata Bose and Introduction by former parliamentarian Krishna Bose. Author Sisir Kumar Bose recounts chronicles of freedom movement led by Netaji Subhash Chandra and his elder brother Sarat Chandra. In this book author included facsimile version of several letters written by Sarat Chandra to eminent public figures of that time, such as, Mahatma Gandhi and M.A. Jinnah. His exchange of letters with Gandhiji also indicates his political convictions and engagement with ideological dialogues while leading a mass movement from Bengal. In addition to these letters, several official letters and notes of the colonial Government have been included and analyzed in this book. This book brings back extremely important narrations and reminisces of a political leadership, not much highlighted in mainstream history books or national media.
