The book focuses on the question of how India will defend her territory and freedom against the Imperial China. It questions the relevance of Non-Alignment after 1962, and points to the policy change in Beijing since the 1949 Communist revolution. The 1962 India-China war left bitter memories for Indians. The book suggests certain unconventional means and changes of policies to be accepted by India to fight the next India-China war, if such a war unfortunately breaks out again. It was the thorough unpreparedness of India that had led to the unprovoked Chinese attack on India in 1962. Firstly, the book puts forward the idea of Indo-US military alliance, and secondly, a military alliance between the non-Communist Asian society comprising India, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia and Australia. Communist ideology, though a shrinking political institution, will revive with fury when China replaces the United States of America as the world’s most powerful military power. How will India face that occasion? It traverses through suggestions which often look unconventional, radical and chauvinistic but inevitable and gallant. The book analyses the India-China relationship in particular as well as the rise, decline and the possible revival of Communist imperialism in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
