One of the recent trends in Indian historiography is to study the historical forces at micro level. This local and regional approach has helped in reconstructing a comprehensive Pan-Indian narrative of 1857-58. The present book deals with the issue related to historiography of Jharkhand, Santhal Hool. It also deals with the Revolt of 1857 in Jharkhand and finally tries to establish its linkage with regional and national forces.
