Preface
In this, the first part of the second volume of the Early Annals of the English in Bengal, I deal with the history of the English in Calcutta under the Administrations of Anthony Weltden, John Russell, and Robert Hedges, giving extracts and summaries from the consultations books for the years 1711 to 1717.
