The aim of this chapter is to focus on the Heal-Thy India. This book discusses a wide array of topics—from absolutely scientific to socioscientific, sociopolitical, administrative, teacher-student relationship and the patient-doctor relationship. This book consists of five sections. The first section gives reviews on health problems currently in India and the ideal situations to be adapted and the lapses in the present system. The second section discusses the political climate, the good and bad of our bureaucratic hierarchy, insensitiveness of the doctors who deliver health care and teaching. The third section discusses the type of medical teaching, learning and health service delivery. The fourth section describes the observations of an experienced teacher and student of medicine looking with awe and appreciation of the systems in developed countries. The honesty and dedication of those systems and the transparency and honesty of the incumbents, if applied in India will definitely improve our systems. The fifth section contains an assortment of subjects ranging from national, political and personal episodes and experiences. This had more narrations and readers will enjoy them as time passes even.
