Malayalam version of 'Spartacus', the famous historical novel written by Howard Fast. It is about the historic slave revolt led by Spartacus around 71 BCE. Spartacus was a Thracian gladiator who was one of the escaped slave leaders in the Third Servile War, a major slave uprising against the Roman Republic. Emphasis of this novel is on his life in the mines and as a gladiator; his character, powers of leadership and dreams of a just society where exploitation and cruelty have been eliminated. Malayalam translation is by C Govinda Kurup.
