SCIENCE SYSTEM OF UPANISHAD
Krishan Saigal
SCIENCE SYSTEM OF UPANISHAD - 1 - New Delhi Yash Publications 2019 - 174
The Goal of the Upanishads is to explain the relation between Brahman, the Supreme being and the soul of man, the self or the Atman. The book uses the scientific method of systems theory to explain what the Upanishads have to say about God, man and the universe in which man lives. The Upanishads being primarily books of instruction and not learning alone, the book uses the yogic system of gyana (knowledge) iccha (will) and kriya (action) to work out the various elements of the Upanishadic system: God and the universe, man in the universe, their interactions and what man has to do to raise his consciousness to higher levels till it becomes one with the highest. The book comprehensively uses actual verses from the scriptures leaving to the reader to use what appeals to him in working out the path he wants to take to attain the divine wheather bhakti (devotion), karma (work) or gyan (knowledge).
