500 | _aIt is definitely a long read. I have been waiting for a book which compiles every classical accounts of India. First thing first, the book must have been a perfect and fascinating experience for history enthusiasts in the 1960s. History books tend to get outdated very quickly. This particular book has met the same fate. Inside the book, Majumdar does not live any stone unturned. There are massive accounts of all the travelers and ambassadors who visited India during the classical era. It was interesting to read their accounts, and Majumdar even makes sure to not cut out anything relevant from their records. He gives us raw and untamed information in this 500 page, longer-than-usual book. For a history enthusiast like me, it was a major treat | ||
